They use a simple repeat cable, which is excellent practice for those beginning cables, and is not difficult.

A bracelet-style band is knitted in cable first and then the body of the mitt or wrist warmer is knitted by picking up stitches along one edge of the band.

There are 3 sizes, depending on how long you want the mitts/warmers to be.

If you want to make another version, try just making the cable band as a bracelet in sparkly yarn or add beads (we are working on these ideas for more kits …!).

Materials in your kit:
50g Blacker Yarns Double Knitting yarn
4.5mm needles; cable needle
You will also need a darning needle for making up and possibly a few pins

We have chosen soft warm Shetland yarn in white, fawn or dark brown for extra comfort.
