Level of difficulty: one Ewe: This pattern is for a narrow striped rib scarf, designed for really easy knitting – ideal for a beginner!

It can have tassles at each end or just be left plain. There is enough yarn for an adult size, or just make it shorter for kids and there may be enough for a beanie too!

The matching beanie is also available in kit form – why not make both?

Materials in your kit:
3 x 50g balls of Blacker Yarns Double Knitting yarn (2 in one shade and 1 in a contrast)
One pair of 6 mm knitting needles.
You will also need a large darning needle for sewing in loose ends, unless you do very narrow stripes and carry the wool up the side.

Basics:
The Rib Scarf has only 1 pattern row and only 29 stitches and is approximately 2 metres (78”) long and 17cm (7”) wide when knitted in Double Knitting yarn.

We have chosen purple/grey, blue/white or pink/fawn as the colours for this beanie and the matching scarf kit.
